Prof. Hala U. Gali Muhtasib

Biology

Dr. Hala Gali-Muhtasib obtained her B.Sc. in Biology from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, in 1983 and her MSc in Biology from AUB in 1983. She later joined Kansas State University to complete her Ph.D. studies in Biology in 1990. She worked as a postdotoral research fellow in the Anticancer Drug Laboratory at Manhattan, KS for three years and then accepted a research associate position in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Eckert at the Department of Physiology and Biophyscis, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She then joined AUB as Assistant Professor. She was promoted to Associate Professor in October 1998 and then to full Professor in October 2004. Dr. Gali- Muhtasib was appointed as the Chairperson of the Biology Department at AUB in October

Dr. Sharshenalieva Zarly

Chemistry

Zaryl Sharshenalieva was born in 1935 in the village Don-Aryk, Chui Valley of Kyrgyz Republic. In 1954 she has left high school №1 in Tokmok, one small town near the Frunze (Bishkek). In 1959 Zaryl Sharshenalieva has ended the Moscow Textile Institute on a speciality of the chemical technology of fibrous materials and in 1968 has protected the Master’s dissertation and then in 1985 – Doctoral dissertation.
During long-term scientific researches Professor Z.Sharshenalieva has received many theoretical results having a fundamental value in the field of complex studying of reactionary ability of cellulose and methods of management of the chemical processes of its transformation

Dr. Safarov Mahmadali

Physics

Safarov Mahmadali M. – citizen of Republic Tajikistan, 1952. Graduated from the physics physics-mathematical faculty of the Dushanbe state Pedagogical Institute (DSPI, 1974), doctor of technical sciences, professor. From 1974 up to new: senior laboratory assistant, heat of a laboratory, senior lecturer, assistant professor, senior research worker, head of the department of experimental physics of the DSPI, chief of department of the Tajik Technological University, head of the chair “ Electric Power Plants and Heating Engineering” of
the Tajik Technical University named by academician .C.Osimy.
Scientific interests: thermophysical and molecular physics, theoretical bases of Heat Engineering, protection of environment, automation of thermophysics processes, physics plasma

Dr. Saher Momani

Mathematics

Prof. Shaher Mohammad Momani have written over 160 research papers and most of these papers are published in international refereed journals. He is a founder and Editor-in-Chief of Arab Journal Of Mathematics And Mathematical Sciences (AJMMS). He is also founder and Leader of Jordan Research Group in Applied Mathematics (JRGAM).
He is Editor, Associate Editor and Reviewer in many international journals and research institutions. He taught most of mathematics courses in the following universities: Mutah
University (twelve years), Yarmouk University (one year), United Arab Emirates University ( three years), and Qatar University (one year).

Dr. Mouhamadou Bassir Diop

Geology

Dr Mouhamadou Bassir DIOP from Senegal was born on 1957, he has got a bachelor degree in geology from Morrocan National School for Mineral Industries on 1983. After three years of field experience, he joined Indian School of Mines where he earn a first class Master of Science and Technology degree in applied geology. After his return to Senegal, he made two years of consultancy and was recruted as a Lecturer at the Earth Science Institute of University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar. In 1991, he got a scholarhip from french government to prepare a Ph D degree in engineering geology at the National Institute for Applied Sciences in Rennes, France. On 1995, he submitted a very productive thesis on standardized sand for portland cement classification. On 1999, he earn a degree in explosives technology from Nitro-Bickford in France.

Dr. Mohd Sapuan Salit

Technology

Professor Dr Mohd Sapuan Salit has contributed to the field of mechanical engineering particularly in polymer composite and concurrent engineering. He is an international leader in concurrent engineering for composite materials. A highly accomplished researcher, motivator, teacher and a prolific scholar, Professor Mohd Sapuan’s work on concurrent engineering for composites, automotive composites, composite materials selection and natural fibre composites led to the publication of more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals, more than 200 papers in conferences, 8 books, 15 chapters in books, three patents, referee for 120 journal papers, and editorial board member for 18 journals. He also successfully supervised 10 PhD students and 40 MSc students and 15 PhD and 5 MSc are still working towards completion.
